PLM offers a variety of benefits to their employees to help enhance their work experience.
Insurance Programs
- Medical (including prescription) - PLM offers employees medical
coverage in a PPO plan sponsored by Independence Blue Cross effective
the first of the month after they have completed 30 days and continuing
until the last day of the month their employment with PLM ends. The
cost to the employee varies depending on how many people they choose
to cover. PLM strives to keep employee paid portions of the medical
premiums reasonable and stable while providing the best coverage possible.
- Vision and Dental - PLM offers two different dental plans
through United Concordia, in addition to a vision plan through Independence
Blue Cross. The cost to all employees who participate, regardless
of how many people are covered is $5 per pay.
- Short Term Disability - PLM offers a 100% employer paid short-term
disability program to all employees who have completed at least 3
months of service. The benefit varies based on the employee's length
of service, and runs concurrently with the Family Medical Leave Act.
- Long Term Disability - PLM offers 100% employer paid premiums
for long-term disability insurance.
- Life and Accidental Death or Dismemberment - PLM offers 100%
employer paid premiums for life insurance in the amount of three times
your annual salary. Employees may purchase additional coverage (in
the amount of one, two or three times their annual salary) at the
discounted group rate. Voluntary employee paid dependent coverages
are also available.
- Business Travel Accident Insurance - PLM offers a variety
of coverages depending on position.
Retirement
- PLM Defined Contribution Plan-401(k) - Employees are automatically
enrolled in the plan immediately upon hire. Employees may contribute
up to 50% on either a pre-tax or Roth 401(k) after-tax basis (or a
combination of both) up to IRS maximums. PLM will match 100%
of employee contributions up to the first 5% of pay on a per pay basis.
In addition to matching contributions, PLM may contribute an amount
equal to 3% of pay each pay period, even if you choose not to contribute
to the plan. Employer contributions are 100% vested after two
years of service.
Other Benefits
- Paid Time Off (PTO) - New employees accrue three days every
two months beginning the first of the month after date of hire.
PTO days increase with length of service.
- Holidays - PLM offers 6 paid holidays.
- Flexible Spending Account-Un-reimbursed Medical Expenses
- PLM offers a pre-tax savings plan for un-reimbursed medical expenses,
including vision, dental, doctor visit co-pays, prescription co-pays
and some over the counter medications.
- Flexible Spending Account-Dependent Day Care -
PLM offers a pre-tax savings plan to be used for costs associated
with dependent day care (both child and elder care).
- Flexible Spending Account-Parking - PLM offers
a pre-tax savings plan for parking costs associated with commuting.
- Employee Assistance Program - PLM offers access
to confidential counseling on a wide variety of issues through our
Employee Assistance Program. Employees are referred to a variety
of resources by qualified professionals either over the internet or
telephone.
- Matching Gift Program - PLM will match dollar for dollar
up to $1,000 per calendar year, any charitable donation you make to
an accredited educational institution.
- TransitChek - PLM participates in TransitChek which allows
employees to save up to $100 per month pre-tax to be used towards
the cost of commuting on SEPTA or PATCO.
- Employee Referral Program - PLM will pay an employee $500
if we hire a person they have referred and the new hire successfully
completes 6 months of service.
Continuing Education
- Tuition Reimbursement - PLM offers up to $5,000 per calendar year for reimbursement of expenses incurred (excluding books) in the pursuit of higher education. Programs must be at an accredited school and business related. They may be undergraduate or graduate level.
- Industry related courses - PLM pays for employees to further their insurance related education, either in the form of workshops and seminars or in the pursuit of formal industry designations such as Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter or Associates in Risk Management.
- Business related training - PLM pays for other business related
training courses including computer training, new supervisor/manager
training and other soft skills training.
